Planning Your Recovery is a peer support wellness class that focuses on creating and implementing a substance use recovery plan. This class is designed to support individuals who have substance use they have identified as problematic and who want support to make changes.

The course is designed to be interactive and engaging, with participants encouraged to share their experiences and perspectives in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Through group discussions and individual exercises, participants will explore the different aspects of substance use recovery, including a personal definition of recovery, the benefits of developing a personalized recovery plan, identifying triggers, developing a tool box of strategies to assist in your recovery journey, goal setting, and building a support network.

The class will cover topics such as understanding the stages of change, creating a recovery plan, and utilizing self-care practices to promote well-being. Participants will be provided with community resources for additional support if interested.

By the end of the course, participants will have developed a personalized substance use recovery plan that is tailored to their individual needs and goals. They will have a better understanding of their triggers, coping strategies, and support systems, and will feel empowered to take charge of their recovery journey, and, if interested, transition into participation with an existing Recovery Support Group (HOPE group.)

Overall, Planning Your Recovery is a valuable resource for anyone who is seeking support in their substance use recovery journey. It provides a safe and supportive space for individuals to connect with peers, gain insight into their own experiences, and develop a plan for lasting recovery.
