Burnout is a complex issue resulting from chronic workplace stress that has physical and emotional consequences. Burnout encompasses exhaustion—feeling depleted, overextended, and fatigued, depersonalization—being detached from oneself and emotionally distant from one’s clients and work, and feelings of inefficacy—having a reduced sense of professional accomplishment  (SAMHSA, 2022). In this workshop, participants will be able to identify and discuss factors leading to burnout, discuss ways of coping with burnout, and identify resources for ongoing support.

Kellin Foundation's Provider Academy is a series of free workshops for all behavioral health and substance abuse providers and peer support specialists to gain current information about mental health and continuing education credit hours. Addiction counselors and peer support specialists receive 1.5 NCSAPPB General Skill Building Hours for each session.
