Participate in a life-saving workshop at the Kellin Foundation's Provider Academy with our QPR Suicide Prevention Certification training. QPR, which stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer, is a evidence-based approach designed to empower individuals to recognize the warning signs of suicide and intervene effectively.
In this session, attendees will learn practical skills to identify signs of suicidal thoughts, engage in open conversations about mental health, and guide individuals toward appropriate help. Facilitators, certified in QPR, will guide participants through scenarios, providing hands-on practice to enhance their confidence in responding to crisis situations.
The training covers essential topics such as understanding the prevalence of suicide, debunking myths, and creating a network of support. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with a QPR certification, enhancing their ability to act as a first line of defense in preventing suicide.
