Launched in memory of Amanda Ireland Ward, a small but mighty passionate advocate for children and families in our community the Smiles for Miles is a fun size race all! Kids LOVE to run and race and the Fun Run at Shea’s Chase gives your little ones the chance to do just that! And it’s not just kids! We welcome anyone who may not be up for a 5K but would like to participate in Shea’s Chase through our fun one mile run!

Mandy helped countless children and families through her work with the Kellin Foundation and as the lead advocate for the Greensboro Child Response Initiative and honor her memory with SMILES FOR MILES!

The SMILES FOR MILES FUN RUN at SHEA’S CHASE is an all-inclusive one mile run. The FUN RUN will be held at 10 AM, before the SHEA’S CHASE 5K RUN/WALK begins at 10:15.
