Hope Hub Campaign Progress
Our vision for the Hope Hub as a comprehensive support center is steadily coming to life. With each milestone, we move closer to creating a welcoming space where essential services unite to support individuals and families. Here, you’ll find updates on progress made and the next steps toward fully realizing this mission.
2024 Progress Updates
Established a Campaign Cabinet and began operations while continuing to serve over 12,000 people across the lifespan.
Worked with architects, contractors, and the city on the “big vision” drawings and schematics for the Hope Hub.
Completed multiple renovation projects including:
Building wide:
Cleared unusable items across 35,000 sq. ft.
Replaced the roof above the Special Events Center (previous Sanctuary).
Replaced roof of Services Building.
Installed wi-fi capacity throughout full building.
Installed security cameras to enhance security.
Pressure washing and significant landscaping.
Replaced External signage.
Level 1 Updates:
Updated plumbing/broken pipes.
Made one bathroom ADA compliant.
Replaced external doors.
Installed new flooring and fresh paint.
Replaced water heater.
Level 2 Updates:
Updated the training room with new paint and flooring.
Level 3 Updates:
Updated all pods with new paint and flooring.
Updated all door fixtures, knobs, and entryways.
Moved our Kellin Foundation Headquarters to the Hope Hub.
Onboarded three nonprofit partners to the Hope Hub and in conversations with several others to onboard in 2025.
Launched an onsite Shelf Stable Food Pantry that is well-utilized.
Launched a free tutoring program for students and adults.
Expanded partnerships both onsite and offsite, including enhanced conversations with senior and older adult service organizations as we explore behavioral health services for seniors.
Launched the school-based mental health initiative in partnership with Guilford County Schools.
Provided over 85 tours of the Hope Hub.
Hosted over 100 volunteers (individuals and corporate groups)
Ranked as Platinum with Candid and 4+ with Charity Navigator.
Received 2024 Triad Business Journal Award “Women in Business”.
What’s Next?
Continue fundraising efforts that allow us to:
Enhance ADA access (bathrooms and entryways)
Complete HVAC upgrades
Install elevator for full building access.
Repave parking lot to enhance wayfinding.
Plan expansion of senior center services.
Upgrade kitchens to commercial grade and establish the Culinary Lab.
Renovate special events and performing arts centers.
Enhance lighting for trauma-informed settings.
Paint and enhance lighting in stairways.
Add fob key access for internal and external doors.
Replace external doors and add additional security cameras.
Install playground.
Services and Partnerships:
Continue high quality service delivery consistent with our mission.
Plan expansion of services to seniors, including a senior center.
Continue partnership building and onboarding of onsite Hope Hub partners.
Pilot drop-in childcare for Hope Hub guests.
Establish internal mechanism to access and track collective impact of Hope Hub.
Launch fresh mobile markets to support food security in partnership with Out of the Garden Project.
